Viviana Di Matteo

Viviana Di Matteo ORCID iD 0009-0003-1422-9455 Current Position: Viviana Di Matteo, PhD, is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Naples “Federico II”. She obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Science with a research project focused on the development of innovative approaches for the discovery of new bioactive marine natural products. Research activity and interest: Dr. Di Matteo is part of “TheBlueChemistryLab” research group. Her research focuses on the discovery, isolation and structural characterization of bioactive natural products from marine organisms and microorganisms. A major focus of her research is the integration of mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, molecular networking and genome mining to accelerate natural product discovery and dereplication. Her work combines HRMS/MS and bioinformatics with NMR spectroscopy and genomic analysis to investigate metabolite diversity, biosynthetic pathways and biological potential.
