Current Position: Germana Esposito, PhD, is a researcher (RTD-A) in Organic Chemistry since 2022 at the University of Naples “Federico II”
Research activity and interest: Dr. Esposito is part of “TheBlueChemistryLab” research group. Her research activity focus on marine organisms and microorganisms (in particular cyanobacteria) in order to find new natural products that can be used as potential drugs.
A major focus of Dr. Esposito’s work is the use of Molecular Networking as a potent dereplication strategy to reveal the presence of new metabolites in the organic extracts of marine organisms, as well as their structural elucidation by mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy techniques.
