Current Position: Patrícia Valentão, PhD, is assistant professor with aggregation at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (Portugal).

Research activity and interest: Patrícia Valentão carries out research on qualitative and quantitative metabolite profiling of terrestrial and marine natural matrices, with the goal to reveal composition/activity relationships of these compounds in various clinically-relevant areas, covering research fields of natural products, inflammation, cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases and analytical techniques. Patrícia Valentão has been evaluator of research projects for several international entities, and executive investigator in several projects. She is member of the editorial board and (co)guest editor of special issues of international journals indexed on WOS. She (co)authored more than 30 book chapters and more than 300 articles in international journals.
